Product Applications

Dual-pointer pressure gauges are mainly used on locomotives and railway vehicles to measure pressure in hydraulic systems or air reservoirs. They can also be used to measure the pressure of various non-crystallizing, non-solidifying media that are non-corrosive to copper alloys and tin-aluminum brazing alloys. Dual-pointer pressure gauges can simultaneously measure two identical or different pressures (the difference between the two pressures should generally not exceed 1/3 of the upper limit of the scale range).

Structure and Working Principle

The instrument consists of two independent measuring systems and indicating devices. Its working principle is based on the elastic deformation of the sensing elements (Bourdon tubes in the measuring systems). Under the pressure of the measured media, the free ends of the two Bourdon tubes undergo corresponding displacements. These displacements are transmitted and amplified through connecting rods and gear transmission mechanisms. The red and black pointers mounted on the respective gear shafts then indicate the two measured pressure values separately on the dial.

Temperature Effect: When the operating temperature deviates from 20±5℃, the additional temperature error shall not exceed 0.4% per 10℃.
